Business tax is based on the gross receipts and number of employees for a business. Businesses located in the City of Atlanta are taxed on statewide receipts.  Businesses located outside Georgia are taxed on receipts generated in the City of Atlanta, only.  Additional information concerning the business tax calculation and related requirements is available on the Office of Revenue Estimating Your Business Tax webpage.

Please be advised that if payment is not received by April 1st, additional penalties and interest is assessed at 1.5% monthly.
