The City of Atlanta Solid Waste Services (SWS) may replace damaged garbage carts.

 

If your garbage cart is damaged, the following methods can be used to request a replacement:

  • Contact Customer Service at 404-546-0311.
  • Submit a request online below. 

 

The damaged cart replacement process is as follows:

  1.  Your damaged garbage cart will be inspected by DPW. 
  2.  After your cart is inspected, if DPW determines that the cart is eligible for replacement, it will be removed.
  3.  A replacement cart will then be delivered by DPW. 

 

If DPW determines that the cart is not damaged, it will not be removed or replaced.

 

If you purchased an additional cart, you are responsible for the replacement of that cart.  DPW will not provide a replacement for a damaged or missing cart if one is visible on the property.

 

Please leave your empty cart(s) upside down and curbside for replacement.

 

If needed, while awaiting your replacement cart, only place up to 5 bags curbside. Do not use a non-city issued cart.
