If you are applying for a film permit in the City of Atlanta, you MUST have liability insurance. This includes student filmmakers. The City of Atlanta does not work in conjunction with any insurance brokers and all productions submitting a film permit application with the Office of Film and Entertainment must seek out their own insurance coverage. Student filmmakers should contact their school directly in order to obtain their certificate of insurance. The City of Atlanta must be listed as the lien holder on a certificate of insurance. The certificate must include the City's address, 55 Trinity Avenue SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. The minimum coverage requirement is one million dollars. We do not require worker's compensation.
