Shareable Dockless Mobility Devices (SDMD) such as scooters and bikes are shareable transportation devices such as electric scooters or bikes that do not have docking stations. 

Per the amended Chapter150 Code of Ordinances, SDMD’s must be parked upon the sidewalk in a bike rack or against a building or at a curb, in such a manner to afford the least obstruction of pedestrian traffic and provides a minimum of 5 feet clear for pedestrians.  

SDMD’S shall not be parked:

  • On vegetation;
  • On any grate, manhole cover, or access lid;
  • In any loading zone, driveway, vehicle travel lane, bike lane, or shared-use path;
  • Where they obstruct vehicle parking;
  • Where they obstruct pedestrian or wheelchair access to:
  • In bus stop clear zones
  • At or within 5 feet of a bikeshare station;
  • Where it obscures any fixed, regulatory, or informational signs or traffic control devices;
  • Where it obstructs emergency service infrastructure including but not limited to fire hydrants, stand pipes, or Automated External Defibrillators.

    • Parking violation
    • Broken or in disrepair
  • What is the unique device ID number-if the customer can provide
  • What is the location of the violation
    • Closest intersect, closest address, estimated distance from cross street
